Melissa Chusid is an Emmy Award-winning casting director, talent producer, and talent executive with more than 20 years of experience turning great ideas into culture-shaping franchises. Known for her ability to spot breakthrough voices early and build trusted relationships at the highest levels of the industry, she has shaped star-making moments across television, film, streaming, sports, and branded content — from primetime hits to award-winning documentaries to global sports properties.

Melissa is the founder of two ventures: Hope Productions, a boutique consultancy advising top-tier leagues, media companies, platforms, and brands on talent strategy, celebrity and influencer casting, and talent-driven format development; and The Talent Collective, a premier bicoastal network of elite bookers, talent producers, and casting directors with unmatched reach across entertainment, sports, music, and branded content. Together, these companies reflect her belief that the right talent — identified early, positioned strategically, and nurtured with intention — is the most powerful force in media today.

Her producing and casting credits span some of the industry's most acclaimed properties. Most recently, she served as Talent Producer on Hello Sunshine's The Rise, a flagship documentary series for Peacock chronicling the explosive growth of women's professional sports, including WNBA 2024: The Year That Changed Everything and The New Moneyball. She currently leads talent strategy and booking for a new culture-driven global soccer series at FootballCo, hosted by Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson — curating marquee guests at the intersection of football, music, and global fandom ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Additional credits include Lip Sync Battle (Spike TV), Cold As Balls with Kevin Hart (Hartbeat), Groundbreakers with Billie Jean King (PBS), Gutsy with Hillary and Chelsea Clinton (Apple TV+), and The Eli Manning Show — which earned a New York Emmy Award for its work with the New York Giants. On the film side, she has cast features including August Rush and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, collaborating with Robert Downey Jr., Robin Williams, Channing Tatum, Chazz Palminteri, and Shia LaBeouf. She has also supported Broadway, casting a rotating roster of A-list guests for Michael Moore's The Terms of My Surrender, and served as an NFL owner liaison during Super Bowl XLVII.

Her previous in-house leadership roles include Director of Talent and Development at MSG Media — where she helped evolve the network from an all-sports outlet into a sports-and-entertainment destination — and Director of Talent at College Sports Television (CSTV), a CBS-owned network. She has also cast for Bleacher Report's B/Real, connecting top athletes with character-driven human-interest stories.

Melissa began her career at Nickelodeon, where she spent nearly a decade casting and managing talent for beloved series, including Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go! The Backyardigans, All That, Figure It Out, and Double Dare 2000. She led the nationwide search for a new Blue's Clues host — an early demonstration of her instinct for talent that resonates at scale.

A lifelong New Yorker, Melissa holds a B.A. in Government from Skidmore College. As media and sports continue to converge, she remains committed to championing emerging voices, building talent-forward formats, and crafting stories that resonate with fans and communities worldwide.
